Research on Fracture Characteristics of Hard Rock of High Stress Underground Powerhouse

Underground caverns of hydropower project have significant mechanical properties high stress, sidewall, large span, complex geological conditions and mutual disturbance adjacent cavern construction, resulting in very deformation rupture characteristics. Through the laboratory triaxial compression experiments, response failure mechanism granite is explored, elastic-brittle are also revealed. With help precision microseismic (MS) monitoring system, inoculation law internal fracture initiation, expansion, intersection penetration surrounding rock captured, macroscopic damage clarified. The research results this paper enrich database mass cases cavern, which can provide support for control fracture.
